Mom told Dad to put up some wainscoting (spelling?) to hide the fact that a red wall shows scuffs. They are constantly fixing something and it makes it easier, or harder, now that Dad doesn't have a job.
My kids laughed so hard when they saw that. Especially when she drops it. Tom made me play it over and over.
